Purchased this TV for my Bedroom.Its a new model and its perfect.I am using it with Freeview The picture is crystal clear and the sound punchy.I put it up on the the wall with a Hama bracket(also purchased from Amazon).Took me about 25mins.Very pleasing to look at even when not switched on, with its shiny rose/black coloured bezel and curved underside with clear plastic trim.The back of the TV is metal not the usual plastic and has all the HDMI points that you need.At the side is a USB port so you can watch movies photos etc that are on your memory stick.I thoroughly recommend this TV.

Recently purchased this TV/DVD as we were looking to upgrade the TV in our bedroom. I debated for a while having either a combi or a separate TV and DVD, ultimately opting for this purchase. I looked at a number of similar combi’s, many at a lower price however many were not as well presented as this is, often with low resolution and very often with a max 19″ screen. Was lucky enough to see this item in store (at an increased price) which really helped as I could get an up close look. Like many of Samsung products it is well constructed feeling very sturdy and it has a great look for a 22″ TV. With the addition of the DVD player I had imagined that the TV would be bulky at the back, this is not the case. Additionally it is very light making it easily portable unlike the TV it is replacing, a 12″ Video Combi…..

Installation was simple, out of the box all you have to do is screw in the base, two simple screws that takes a matter of minutes. Having plugged it in and connected the aerial the set up process is extremely simple, all programmes searched and installed within three minutes. Noticeably the control and menus are different than the 32″ Samsung we have downstairs, this is not an issue as it is easily navigated. Out of the box there was no need to adjust picture or sound settings, the picture and sound are crystal clear. We have this TV in our bedroom with a small indoor aerial and there is no noticeable degrading of the picture quality when correctly tuned in.

This is a perfect purchase as a second TV, the combination of the DVD is great as it really cuts down on clutter of extra plugs and wires, plus it looks great. We have only had it one night so it is not fully road tested but so far so good, Although I can see that this price has increased slightly since we purchased but it is still much more competitive than other retailers, thanks to Amazon, Supersaver delivery and we had in within three days even with the recent Snow related problems.

Very pleased with this item. Picked it because of others reviews. Very easy to set up and start using. Got it for the bedroom. Find the picture and sound are both good. Had to manually adjust the colour as I found the default setting a bit too rich but that probably is a personal thing. Pleased with the DVD player and am more than happy overall.

The first review pretty much somes up this TV – yes it is very light and I too found how easy it can be to tip this TV over when your setting it up – so be careful! Setup is extremely quick and easy – it probably took less then 1 minute for the TV to find all the channels.

THE PICTURE QUALITY IS STUNNING particularly when I am playing blu-rays or my xbox 360 and even my standard defintion sky seems to look alot better.

I really wouldnt consider the 1 scart socket an issue because the TV also has 2 hdmi ports, a VGA port + loads more which means I have my sky box, blu-ray player and xbox 360 connected to this TV without having to use a scart splitter cable.

I think this TV is agreat option for anyone looking for a medium size full HD TV and it is great value for money!

I bought this Television 2 weeks ago to replace an old 26″ Rear projection TV which was on its last legs. The first thing I noticed when taking it out of the box and setting it up was that it is a really light TV; this is both a blessing and a curse. The TV being so light is easy to set up and move around but also can be easy to tip over if caught when moving around it (as I found out whilst setting it up – although I caught it before it fell over)

Once I have it unpacked and wired up I turned the power on and was very surprised to see that after selecting the country and time zone the TV noticed that it had no stored channels and went immediately into auto scan mode and programmed in both the Analogue and Digital TV channels without me having to navigate the menu looking for setup. (Don’t forget to plug the arial into the TV before you turn it on for the first time )

Once the auto setup had finished I did not even need to select which channels were on what station as it automatically arranged them correctly. The picture quality is as you would expect from a full HD TV and on HDMI with 1080P input it is crystal clear and bright. Picture quality also looks better on normal definition TV than it looked on my old TV.

No review would be complete without some CON’s and there are some…

There is ONLY 1 scart socket on the TV so expect to but a Scart splitter cable if you have cable / DVD/Blue ray players to wire up that use scart cables.

The unit is very light, and children may well cause issues if playing close to it.

The TV does not have support for surround sound systems such as Dolby digital 5.1 and such.

All in all for the price this is an excellent TV and has a really clear and sharp screen, you can not go wrong with this one as long as you take note of the CON’s.

I firstly purchased the Samsung LE22A457 but had to return this due to bad backlight leakage. I am pleased to say I should have gone with my original instinct and purchased this set in the first place! It is a lovely looking TV and I need to disagree with the review saying the sound is tinny – compared to the 22″ 457 it is a marked improvement and much better than other 22″ TV’s I listened to in a local retailer. For a TV which most people will use in a second room it does the job well.

We purchased this for the bedroom to view Sky TV sent via RF from the Lounge input so I cannot comment on the freeview tuner/features, but the picture quality I receive from the Sky box is very good.

One thing to note – if you are looking at HD Ready 22″ TV’s be careful of the resolution you choose. This TV has a resolution of 1366 x 768 which is perfect 16:9 ratio. Many other sets (including the A457 I purchased before) offer 1680 x 1050. Whilst on paper this looks better it does not give a true 16:9 ratio and the picture has be be stretched vertically to fill the screen meaning some images can look distorted. You can always run it in 16:9 mode but this will result in black bars top and bottom of the screen, something I certainly don’t want on all my normal broadcast TV!

All in all very happy with the TV purchase and would recommend it.

Bought this TV (LE22B450) from Amazon and firstly I must say what a great price and fantastic service. Used Express service which was a little extra but delivery was within 48 hours. Carried out exhaustive research on the web and in some electrical retailers and decided on this. Bought for occasional use in a conservatory. Setting up was very straight forward and once basic calibration undertaken, I was left with an excellent Freeview picture. While sound, as other reviewers have commented, is not great, it`s certainly acceptable. I have previously bought Toshiba & Panasonic tv`s so was venturing into the unknown with Samsung but have been very pleased so far. It has all the inputs/outputs most people will want (HDMI, Component, Scart, etc) and also looks fantastic!

i was really pleased with this bracket,it is as good as the ones on the high street but alot cheaper,i have a 42″ lg flatscreen television and it fitted perfectly,it was really easy to fit,it literally took us ten minutes to put up,it gives you so much room behind to position your wires due to the tilt part on the bracket,would definately recommend to anyone who is purchasing a bracket,excellent sturdy quality thanxs

PURCHASED THIS ON THURSDAY – RECEIVED FRIDAY BEFORE LEAVING FOR WORK… THE QUALITY IS UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. SOLID STRUCTURE AND WAS QUITE EASY TO MOUNT ON THE WALL. TOOK ME 20 MINUTES TO GET IT UP(BEGINNER..SO WHAT!)…IF I EVER NEED TO BUY A BRACKET AGAIN I WILL DEFINATELY BUY THESE, WHATS THE POINT PAYING £150 MORE AT CURRY’S AND DIXONS. 3 YEARS AGO CURRY’S BUMPED ME OFF ON OLDER VERSION BRACKET FOR £129.. ANWAY I’M GLAD I’VE GOT INTERNET ACCESS

Very solid and strong, yet movements are smooth even with a heavy TV on it. Quite easy to put up – comes with a little spirit level built in, but I found it easier to use my standard “1m” builder’s level to get the holes level. You fix it either with 6 bolts and wall-plugs or 4 bolts going into the studs of a plaster board wall. Mine wall is the latter type (i.e. plasterboard wall, fixed on studs=wooden beams), so you need a stud-finder tool (I already had one) to locate the studs. The bolts are quite long, and I had to go and buy an extra long drill bit to drill out the wall behind the studs. If you have a friend to hold it while you measure up that will help as it is pretty heavy.

Once up the whole thing is very impressive – my Toshiba 37″ LCD sits very happily on it and swings about easily (but not too easily). We move the TV about twice a day and it’s now very easy. Also tilts up and down a little – about 10 degrees either way. Fitting looks quite versatile and should fix to any standard VESA mount.

Highly recommended.

Rocket proof probably, heavy duty bracket, does EXACTLY what it says in the description. At the price its half what many other simular brackets are sold at, but I cant imagine they could be any improvement on this one. Take your time putting it on the wall, and I’m sure it will outlast the house. I trusted my new 37″ LCD to it, and would be confident it would perform just as well with a larger unit. Would highly reccommend.

Great looking, and a good picture. BUT the sound quality is awful.. tinny, thin, unrealistic… everything is wrong. Tried all the settings, and manual setting, and you simply cannot get decent sound. Bad for music, bad for speech, etc. If you buy this, you have been warned… it sounds like a 1950s cheap radio….shame, as otherwise its a nice set.

I bought this TV for my elderly mother – what a big mistake!

On the plus side: The picture quality is very good. It has a built-in Freeview receiver which found all the available free-to-air channels.

It says on the box though this TV has “Dynamic Sound”. Well, I didn’t realise “Dynamic Sound” would mean it would sound like someone talking through a tin can at you!!

This TV has the worst “tinny” quality sound I have ever witnessed in any television I have owned.

My elderly mother said it made her ears hurt and I can not personally stand to listen to what comes out of this TV’s speakers.

LG should be ashamed for putting out such a rubbish product like this. It has been a complete waste of my money.

For LCD TVs it looks like you have to stick to quality brands like SONY or PHILIPS.

So if you are thinking of buying this LG LCD TV then my strong advice to you is: DON’T DO IT!!

I bought one of these to replace a old CRT portable in my kitchen. I’m very happy with it – picture and sound quality are excllent and its easy to use.

I don’t agree with the previous reviewer about it being “wall mount” only. Mine arrived in the same way as described in that review, and although its not immediately obvious how to tilt the stand (you do think its not going to budge) I persisted and it tilted fine after a few minutes – mine is sat on a kitchen work surface not mounted

Only minor gripe is that I would like to play tunes from my iPod using its speaker. Despite having various sockets this is not possible – a fact confirmed by Samsung technical support. I can do this perfectly well on another Sony flatscreen TV I have.
